About US
My name is Joey Medina. I am the Founder, President and Executive Producer for “Bronx Boy Entertainment,” a full-service production company.
As a child growing up in the South Bronx in New York City, I was an extremely creative child. In third grade my school principle placed me in a creative writing class which gave me an outlet to create and invent stories.
In seventh grade, I purchased a super 8 film camera, projector and screen from my woodshop teacher for $50. All the equipment was stamped “Property of the Board of Education.”
After unknowingly buying the stolen film equipment, I cast family members and directed my first film. With their help and a gorilla mask and rubber ape hands and my mother’s fake fur coat, I made my 3-minute version of “King Kong.” I used miniature soldiers and army vehicles including my sister’s Barbie and dollhouse to build the set.
Although I’m a grown adult, when it comes to creativity I’m still that curious and energetic little boy who loved creating something from nothing with very little assets. However today, I own top of the line production equipment and software and access to equipment and crew that has the expertise to complete any production on time and on budget, including aerial photography.
