Steven’s passion for capturing stories and feelings with his camera started at a young age. He started making projects on 8mm film and videotape throughout his childhood before learning the craft as a still and motion picture camera assistant. After working in several disciplines of still photography, he was inspired by the emergence of digital filmmaking. He then studied non-linear film editing and brought that knowledge to Apple, where he worked as a full-time professional software instructor.
